Broward College Education Pathway is proud to present the inaugural ‘Next Top Chef’ event hosted at Broward College South Campus.
🗓 Thursday Nov. 30
 5p - 7:30p
📍 Southern Breeze Cafe Bldg. 68 Rm 175
Next Top Chef is an event that combines literacy, exceptional student education, and community partners for an evening of food, learning, and fun. To teach students about the role played by literacy in the food and hospitality industries, Broward College students will be working side-by-side with Broward County Public School students and area businesses. Students will work alongside renowned chefs and restaurateurs to create delicious dishes that will be tasted and judged by some of our great community partners and supporters.
Our esteemed panel of judges includes: Patricia Good, District 2 School Board member; Josh Levy, Mayor of Hollywood; Mike Mayo, food critic for the Sun Sentinel; and Myriam Masihy, investigative reporter for Telemundo. Our panel has agreed to put our students’ recipes to the test in a cooking contest for the ages. This great event unites pre-service teachers in the Broward College Education Pathway with students in Broward County.
Special thanks to our sponsors: Subway, Epic Bites, BJ’s Brewhouse-Pembroke Pines, Chick-Fil-A-Pembroke Pines , HipPOPS, Que Perros, Starbucks, Publix and Valley Food Services. Thanks to Jason Beans, Practicum student in the Teacher Education Program for designing the flyer for the event.
There are some seats still available for you to come and try some of the delicious food that is being created. Tag us and tell us why you should be a tasting judge using #BCTopChef
